From 24 to 36 months: Enjoy…
At about 2 or 3 years, most children go through a period of opposition and rejection of what is new. This is normal; it is part of their development value.
If your child refuses a dish, do not conclude too quickly that he does not like. Continue to present it to him from time to time in another form.
Experience shows that the child must be allowed to become familiar with new foods so that he or she can enjoy them. It will be all the easier when he sees his parents, and his brothers and sisters eat of everything. They will follow the example.
Between 2 and 3 years old, children’s diet is similar to that of the older ones, but they still need food adapted to their age
Example of a menu from 24 to 36 months:
|Menu from 2 to 3 years|
|Morning||* 250ml whole milk or chocolate.|
+ 2 bread toasts with butter and / or jam.
Option: to be replaced with 250ml of milk, or yoghurt, with 4 teaspoons of instant cereals.
+ Fresh fruit juice or 1 fruit
|Noon||* 1 or 2 tablespoons of raw vegetables seasoned with olive oil.|
+ 30-40g of meat, fish or 1 egg.
+ Vegetables cooked and starchy and a small amount of butter.
+1 unsweetened nature cheese or cheese (20-25g)
+1 compote or fruit.
|Snack||*1 yogurt and 1 bread toast with butter and / or jam + fruit.|
Option 1: to be replaced by a piece of bread or cheese + a fruit.
Option 2: Replace with 200ml whole milk and a compote or fruit.
|Evening||* 4 to 5 tablespoons of cooked starches (rice, pasta, semolina …) seasoned (Gruyere, tomato sauce …)|
Option 1: to be replaced with mashed potatoes (or dried vegetables) and vegetables and a knob of butter.
Option 2: Replace with a vegetable soup and a teaspoon of cream
Fresh and a piece of bread.
